This Week's Music (June 2, 2009)

Welcome back to the weekly new music roundup, where I will try highlighting some of tomorrow's interesting/major music releases.

Iggy Pop goes jazzy with Preliminaires, the Dave Matthews Band returns with Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, and we see yet another Jeff Buckley album of sorts with Grace Around the World. That's what you can expect this week, alongside reissues by The Who and Alice Cooper.

And it looks like Gorillaz' Bananaz is out this week in North America, though it's a little tough to tell. Amazon says it is, so I've provided a link below, but Netflix says the date is unknown. I'm thinking it's probably out tomorrow, since it seems to be out today in the UK.

Anyway, watch the video for The Sounds' "No One Sleeps When I'm Awake," the single from their latest album Crossing the Rubicon (also out this week), and then check out some other news releases below.
