Music Notes: The Beatles bookends edition

- Paul McCartney will play at the New York Mets' newest home (Citi Field) on July 17 and 18. Tickets go on sale on June 15. [Rolling Stone]

- Aaron and Bryce Dessner, the twins from The National, will team up with visual artist Matthew Ritchie to present a new multimedia piece at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in October. The piece titled The Long Count will feature guest vocals from the Breeders' Kim and Kelley Deal, My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden, and The National frontman Matt Berninger. And a 12-piece chamber orchestra. [Pitchfork]

- Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest has debuted in the Billboard Top Ten at #8, keeping some very interesting company with the likes of Hannah Montana, Eminem and Lady GaGa. Props! [Stereogum]

- The Pixies are planning to tour parts of the UK and Europe this summer. [NME]
