- Moneyball, starring Brad Pitt, is back on track after Columbia Pictures abruptly shut down production on the film in late June only days before shooting was set to begin. Steven Soderberg is off the project and will no longer write or direct the film. Aaron Sorkin has been tapped to draft a new script for the baseball drama, which tells the story of the Oakland Athletics' success in building a playoff-quality team with a small payroll.
