Jude Law to Tackle Hamlet on Broadway

Look like this is going to be a busy week for theater news . . .

Jude Law will take to the stage as Shakespeare's doomed Prince of Denmark when the Donmar Warehouse production of Hamlet comes to Broadway this fall.

The role will be Law's first return to Broadway since his Tony-nominated turn in Indiscretions in 1995.  The British actor has previously appeared on the London stage in Dr. Faustus and 'Tis Pity She's a Whore.

Hamlet will begin previews on September 12, but the limited 12-week run doesn't officially open until October 6. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting July 18. As part of Donmar's commitment to greater accessibility to the arts, more than 100 tickets for each performance will be available for just $25. [Playbill]

  1. Hamlet is one of my favourite theatre shows. I know all the scenes by heart so it was nice to remember again in your post. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories about Hamlet . This weekend I’m going to visit my sister and I've compared tickets prices tix for free before via this:

So I'll be analyzing as well as enjoying the show.
