Music Notes: Alec Ounsworth goes solo, Thom Yorke covers Miracle Legion

- Everyone's going solo! Clap Your Hands Say Yeah frontman Alec Ounsworth will release his first solo album, Mo Beauty, Oct. 20. Though his band is not breaking up, they're also up to "nothing for now." [SPIN]

- Listen to Thom Yorke cover Miracle Legion's "All for the Best" here. The track will open Ciao My Morning Star: The Songs of Mark Mulcahy, a tribute compilation aiming to raise money for Mark Mulcahy (of Miracle Legion). Mulcahy has left music to care for his three-year-old twins since his wife died suddenly last fall. [Stereogum]
