- Noel Gallagher has recently been quoted by numerous music publications, stating that Oasis probably won't make another record until five years from now, and complaining about his brother and bandmate Liam. Well now, he's openly blogging about the band's problems. Today's entry said the following: "We speak at bad times for the Oasis tour. Bad times. We are a rudderless ship at the minute. And there's a fuckin' shit-storm on the horizon. I guess all will be revealed in due course. Strange atmosphere. I wouldn't mind but we're in South America! Playing massive stadiums and there's a bit too much hrmph-ing going on for my liking. Shame really." [Oasis MySpace]
- Just days ago though, Liam Gallagher said Noel's claims about a five-year break weren't part of his plan. He put out the following message via Twitter: "It won't be a 5 year break if I've got anything to do with it, thanks for the support." Interesting times, huh? [Q]
- R.E.M. plans to reissue their second album, 1984's Reckoning in June. The band will release a 25th anniversary deluxe two-disc edition of the album. 180-gram vinyl reissues of Reckoning and the band's debut album Murmur will also be released. [Pitchfork]
