Jon Hamm of Mad Men will soon be busy with a new big screen endeavor. Hamm has joined the cast of Zach Snyder's (300, Watchmen) next project, the action fantasy flick Sucker Punch.
Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish and Carla Gugino and Jamie Chung will co-star with Hamm in "the 1950s-set tale of a girl (Browning) confined to a mental institution by her stepfather, who intends to have her lobotomized in five days." Browning's character and her friends are able enter an alternate reality where they can begin planning an escape.

Hamm's character name is "High Roller," but beyond that details are being kept under wraps. [Hollywood Reporter]
[Edited to correct the spelling of Jon Hamm's name because Pop Wench Callie was blinded by his hotness while looking for a photo to accompany this post. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!]
