NBC and Law and Order: Special Victims Unit executive producer Dick Wolf have announced that the show will be returning in the fall, even though discussions with both of the show leads are ongoing. Current contracts for Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay (who has been hospitalized several times for a collapsed lung and related health issues since December) expire at the end of this season and both are said to be negotiating for pay raises.
