Harry Potter fans who have been eagerly anticipating the summer release of the franchise's sixth movie received a little bit of good news today: their wait has been shortened by two days.
Reputable Potter fansite The Leaky Cauldron reports that WB confirmed to them that the release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been pushed up to Wednesday, July 15, 2009. As of this posting, the official Warner Bros' site for the Harry Potter films still shows the unchanged "in theaters July 17" language, and there is no word on whether any international release dates will also change.
